I was born in Prague.
I perceive the transformation it has undergone since the early 1990s.
The city awoke from the gray of socialism and it‘s getting more beautiful and colorful.
Every time I was walking through the city center, I always felt hurt by the fact that tourists are offered souvenirs that are not related to Prague at all. Like ramies and matryoshka.
So there’s no wonder when someone mistaken us with Chechnya.
So I asked a question to myself. What is typical for Prague?
Infant Jesus of Prague? (only for Catholics)
U Fleků Brewery? (what about abstainers?)
Prague Trams? (you won’t buy a doubledecker from London either)
Charles Bridge and Prague Castle? (you can take a photo of that)
But there are a few things that are usually overlooked and we walking by them every day and these things are so typical and unique for Prague…
